Unveiling Artistry: Discover Tart Boudoir.
Throughout the last three years my life has gone anything but planned. My husband, Brendon, and I wanted to start having babies at 30 and not in Utah. Now we have two babies at 30 and we’re in Utah. Yes, I love Utah and my kiddos but I am also a huge planner which got quite disrupted. Therefore, things, such as my boudoir business, got caught up in chaos and the joy of bringing two babes into this world.
Being fully transparent, my business has definitely taken a backseat more times than I would have liked since I started in 2021. I am feeling refreshed (but sleep deprived thanks to my 5 month old and 2 year old) and excited to put a large focus on Rae of Light Boudoir in 2024.
A quick introduction.
I’m Rae. My full name is Rachel BUT have been called Rae all my life. I grew up all over the east coast and made my way to Utah State University in 2011. I got a BS in Community Health and then pursued a MS in Health Promotion. I love my education and still work part-time in the public health sector.
I love baking, creating new recipes, dancing, camping, traveling the world (my two favorite places I have traveled to are the Philippines and Tuscany), taking baths and being with my little family. I am a coffee snob and a wine lover.
I have been doing photography for over 15 years. During college and grad school, I never explored being a “photographer”. Fast forward to the end of 2020 - I did a boudoir session and fell in love with it. All of it. Fast forward 3 months and I purchased my first camera in years. And that is when Rae of Light Boudoir was born. I have loved getting to know my clients, the industry and the community.
My style of boudoir photography is warm, dark and moody. I love utilizing natural light to highlight the body’s beautiful curves. My portfolio is full of shapes, colors and sizes.
